With the newly launched competition series for young Oldenburg dressage talents, the Oldenburg Association is sending a strong signal for the promotion of promising young horses. The series is aimed at 7- and 8-year-old Oldenburg dressage horses and offers them the opportunity to present themselves at a high level in sporting competition at an early stage and to showcase their development.

Qualifications - The road to the Final

The first qualification starts in March at our dressage competition in Vechta. Further selected stages will follow during the season. In each qualifying competition, the two best Oldenburg horses aged seven and eight will earn their ticket to the final. 

The Final at the Elite Auction in Vechta 

The highlight of the series will take place in autumn as part of the renowned Elite Auction at the Oldenburg Horse Centre in Vechta. There, the qualified horses will be presented to a large audience and high-calibre experts – an important step on their way to the upper level of the sport.

Price money

A total prize money of €7,000 is available for the Final, which will be distributed among the placings on a sliding scale.

Aim of the Series

The Competition series strengthens sporting promotion within the Oldenburg population and creates an attractive stage for talented dressage horses from local breeding. It promotes visibility, development and perspective – entirely in line with the Oldenburg breeding and sporting philosophy.
