The Oldenburg
Young Breeders
This is us - horse-crazy kids, teenagers and young adults who share passion for horses.
We organize workshops and training sessions with renowned breeders, trainers, judges and veterinarians on a wide range of equine topics to learn from the best and further our own education. The presentation of a horse, conformation and free jumping assessment, how to best prepare a horse for an event and expertise in horse breeding, feeding, raising and health play a particularly important role.
We demonstrate our skills and knowledge at a wide range of regional and national competitions and championships. We compete as an Oldenburg team against teams from other breeding associations in Germany. At the World Young Breeders Championships, we even compete internationally and have already celebrated great successes together. In 2022, the Oldenburg young breeder Marie Determann brought the World Championship title in In-Hand Showing to Oldenburg, and in 2023, Juliane Albers won the gold medal in Horse Assessment at the German Championships for Young Breeders.
Having fun is a vital part of the Oldenburg Young Breeders – celebrating, meeting friends and like-minded people from all over Germany is just as much a part of it. We also organize our legendary Kohltour (a North German Tradition), and a Foal Tour every year.
As a member of the Oldenburg Young Breeders, you can also save money with discounts and special offers!
As Young Breeders, we also support the Oldenburg Breeding Society in its events, for example in horse presentations, as whip handlers or auction helpers.

As part of one of the largest German Horse Breeding associations, you will be at the heart of current horse breeding events. This is very exciting and educational and helps you to make valuable contacts for the future.
