At the 106th Fall Elite Auction of the Oldenburg Horse Breeding Association, approximately 30 selected riding horses and 46 foals will be up for sale. The lot consists of talented young horses as well as those with existing competitive experience, offering exciting opportunities for ambitious riders, competitive stables, and breeders alike.

Powerful jumpers for the show jumping course

Catalog number 8 features Total Unique, born February 25, 2020, by Tobago Z out of Very Important by Vigo D’Arsouilles—Cornet Obolensky—Grannus, bred and raised by Pferdezucht Dr. Rowold, Haselünne. The gelding impresses with great ability, good spatial awareness, and exceptionally good form over jumps. Total Unique has already celebrated victories in Class A** show jumping competitions. His pedigree also attests to his athletic quality: His dam, Very Important, is a sister to Paul Walker—who was successful up to 1.55 m under Laura Kraut (USA)—as well as Oki Doki under Enno Klaphake, and Pina Colada, who was successful up to 1.40 m under Alexander Hufenstuhl.

Asterix W (catalog number 21), born May 24, 2021, by Arezzo VDL out of Libella by Light On—Classiker—Traumdeuter/T., breeder: Arend Westerholt, Spahnharrenstätte, owner: A. & L. Sportpferde, Spahnharrenstätte, has excellent potential for a career in show jumping. The gelding displays great ability and a convincing style on the course and has already earned placings in L-level show jumping classes. His dam, Libella, was herself successful up to the intermediate class and passes on genetically promising traits. Among others, she is the sister of the 1.60 m show jumper Contino, ridden by Dehlia Oevray-Smıts (SUI), as well as the internationally successful Grand Prix horse Currency DC, ridden by Susan Dutta (USA). The mare line also includes Conteros, ridden by Tobias Haugg (LUX), a show jumper successful at the 1.50 m level.

Strong Genetics for Competition and Breeding

In addition to the riding horses, the collection also features 46 foals that offer promising prospects for breeding and future competition. A very special highlight of this collection is catalog number 51, Dollar Girl, born June 10, 2026, by Diaron out of Brooke R by Balou du Rouet—Arpeggio—Romancier, bred and raised by Wilhelm Rohlfing, Wagenfeld. This modern filly hails from a performance-oriented family. Her dam, Brooke R, is the sister of four licensed stallions: In addition to the 1.45 m-successful premium stallion Balou Peggio I, her full brothers Balou Sylt and Balou Peggio II, as well as Corpeggio by Cornet’s Stern, also received the coveted licensing predicate. Also among the dam’s siblings are the S*****-level successful Chacco-R by Chacco-Blue and Brooklyn by Balou du Rouet, as well as Chaccon’s Gio by Chacco-Blue and Eldo van de Helle by Eldorado van de Zeshoek, both of whom have been successful in **-level competitions. Grandmother Annecy is a sister to Rastellie, who has enjoyed success at the 1.50 m level, and two other horses successful at the S level.

This offers prospective buyers the opportunity to invest early in the next generation of successful Oldenburg sport and breeding horses.

Auction Day with Sporting Highlights

Anyone wishing to get a closer look at their personal favorite can experience the riding horses in Vechta even before the auction. The horses have been in training since September 23 and can be tried out in person by prior telephone appointment.

The event kicks off on Saturday, October 3, at 11:00 a.m. with a live presentation of the foals. The sporting action begins immediately afterward: Starting at 12:30 p.m., the qualified rider-horse pairs will compete in the finals of the OLD Masters powered by DERBY. Starting at 4:00 p.m., the highlight of the day—the 106th Fall Elite Auction—is on the program.

The evening concludes with the traditional Championship Fete. Thus, German Unity Day in Vechta brings together top-class sport, select auction horses and foals, breeding, and the special atmosphere of the Oldenburg horse community.
