From October 6 to 9, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. each day, the excitement begins: Numerous promising young stallions with interesting pedigrees will compete in the preliminary stallion selections organized by the Oldenburg Horse Breeders’ Association (OL) and the Oldenburg-International Show Jumping Breeders’ Association (OS). Their goal: the coveted ticket to the Oldenburg Stallion Days from November 23 to 25, 2026.
The catalog with the schedule will be published on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
On October 6 and 7, the dressage stallions (OL) will be presented, followed by the OS candidates (show jumping stallions) on October 8 and 9. The stallions will first be shown in free movement (OL) or free jumping (OS), then on the paved area, and finally in the walking ring. The decision on approval will be made there.
The preliminary selections offer exciting insights into the new crop of stallions and, at the same time, an opportunity for personal interaction with us and other breeders.
On Thursday, October 8, following the preliminary selection around 7:30 p.m., we cordially invite the members of the Show Jumping Horse Breeders’ Association to the general meeting. A special highlight of the program will be the introduction of our new licensing commission member, Dirk Demeersman. The Belgian Olympic rider will then speak on the topic “Show Jumping Breeding Then and Now from the Perspective of an Olympic Rider.”
