What a brilliant finale in Warendorf: On the final day of the National Championships, the Oldenburg horses once again provided numerous highlights. A total of four medals—one silver and three bronze—went to representatives from the Oldenburg breeding region.
M** Jumping Class – Final for Six-Year-Old Show Jumpers:
Con Touch RS, OS, born 2020, by Conthargos out of Classic Time by Casall, bred by Hans-Jürgen Heitmann, Dinklage, owned by Matthias Schlamminger and Landgestüt Redefin, and ridden by Stefan Engbers, won the bronze medal. Con Touch RS, who was discovered at the Elite Foal Auction, was named champion stallion at his 2022 licensing in Münster-Handorf. His full brother, Coeur Rouge, shone as the celebrated Grand Prize winner of the Oldenburg-International Show Jumping Breeders’ Association. The dam, Classic Time, is a sister to a licensed Casall son and to Caytano (by Daniel Gantner), who was successful at the 1.45 m level. Granddam W-Classic Lin is a sister to the licensed Carlos van de Helle by Contendro I. Line 4025 has also produced the 1.60-meter-level successful Deauville S/Laura Kraut (USA), Olympic champion Classic Touch/Ludger Beerbaum, Caballero/Davide Kainich, FRA, the licensed Caligula I and II, Balous Bellini, Quality Touch Z, Untouched, World Cup winner United Touch S/Richard Vogel, C-Jewel’s Carat, Whitesnake, and Lambourgini.
M*-Class Special Show Jumping Competition – Final for Five-Year-Old Show Jumpers:
Stakkariello PS, OS, born 2021, by Stakkato out of Corialla by Chacco-Blue, bred and trained by Gestüt Lewitz and Emilia Löser, was awarded the bronze medal. His two full siblings, Stariallo Blue PS and Storiall Blue, have already placed in international advanced-level show jumping competitions.
Class S Dressage Competition – Final for Seven-Year-Old Dressage Horses:
Found Gody PS, born 2019, by El.H. Foundation out of Valarina PS by Vivaldi – Fürst Romancier, bred and trained by: Lewitz Stud, danced his way to silver under Ellen Richter. His granddam, Fasine OLD, was an Oldenburg Champion Mare, National Champion, and a winner in S-level dressage.
Segafredo, born 2019, by Secret out of El./St.Pr.St. Feine Freude by Sandro Hit – Donnerhall, breeder: Marco Trier, Schlitz, Breeder: Achim Frenzen, impressed with Dr. Annabel Frenzen to place fifth. His half-brother Glenn Flanell by Grey Flanell is successful in S* dressage classes, while his half-sister Fleur d'Amour T by Ibiza paraded in the Brillantring at the Elite Mare Show in Rastede.
Zuccador QD, born 2019, by Zenon out of Kolonia/Trak. by Lauries Crusador xx – Connery, breeder: Hof Kasselmann, Hagen, owner: Angie Qin, and Nicole Wego-Engelmeyer were delighted to take bronze.
Class M Dressage Horse Competition – Final for Six-Year-Old Dressage Horses:
Globall OLD, born 2020, by Global Player out of El./VbPrSt. Cardinale by El.H. Fürstenball – Sandro Hit, Breeder: Arnold Wegbünder, Nordhorn; owner: Helgstrand Dressage A/S, placed fifth under Eva Möller. His grandmother, the elite mare Casablanca, gave birth to the licensed stallions Lonken’s Fiandro by Fidertanz and the Grand Prix-winning Fürst Fabrice OLD by El.H. Fürstenball. His half-brother Fürst zu Bentlage by Fidertanz is also successful up to Intermediaire I.
Class A Dressage Test – Final for Four-Year-Old Stallions:
La Paix, born 2022, by La Vie out of the elite mare Rioja by Sir Donnerhall I – Rubinstein I, breeder: Dr. Katharina Paschertz, Cloppenburg, trainer: Helgstrand Dressage, Denmark, secured fifth place with Vanessa Crnadak. In January of last year, La Paix was crowned the resplendent Oldenburg Champion Stallion. His brother is the famous 2015 Oldenburg Champion Stallion, Bonds by Benicio, who is successful in S-level dressage under Beatrice Hoffrogge. The dam, El.St. Rioja, also gave birth to the Oldenburg main premium candidates La Primavera by La Vie, Escolioja by El.H. Escolar, and the Brillantring mare Granacha by Glamourdale. The line also produced the Grand Prix-successful Fabienne, ridden by Isabell Werth.
