At the World Vaulting Championships in Aachen, the Oldenburg breeding program celebrated a major success: Capitain Claus OLD, together with Kathrin Meyer, secured the silver medal. With consistent performances and second-place finishes in the compulsory test, individual competition, and freestyle, the experienced duo impressively demonstrated their class. Idefix also impressed in the World Championship field and, riding with Leonie Koller, rounded out the successful showing by the Oldenburg horses with a seventh-place finish.
Capitain Claus OLD, born 2009, by Collado out of Camillo Queen by Camillo Star – Carolus I – Calypso II, breeders: Eckhard Reihs, Wallhöfen; owners: Fredenbeck Riding Club and Klaus Hauschild, Fredenbeck; and Kathrin Meyer were delighted with the silver medal after placing second in the compulsory test, the individual competition, and the freestyle. Granddam Fantasia produced Loxley by Lordanos, who has enjoyed success in advanced show jumping.
Idefix, born in 2013, by Diarado’s Boy out of Nikita de Bonneville by Voltaire, breeder: Gestüt Lewitz, owner: Klaus Haidacher, Austria, placed seventh under Austrian rider Leonie Koller. He took fifth place in the compulsory test and sixth place in the individual competition.
