Top international sires, proven performance bloodlines, and generations of successful sport horses characterize the show jumping foals at the 40th Oldenburg Elite Foal Auction on Saturday, August 8, at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta. The collection combines modern show jumping genetics with exceptional dam lines that have long proven their quality at the highest international level. Three colt foals exemplify the high level of performance in this year’s Elite collection.

Cat. No. 39 Calle Cool BU

Colt by Cero Blue TN out of Stakkato’s Goldpilot BU by Stakkato Gold – Pilot

Athletic potential meets an exceptional maternal line: Calle Cool BU combines Cero Blue TN—who enjoyed international success up to 1.60 m—with a family that has been producing top-level competition horses for years. His dam, Stakkato’s Goldpilot BU, was herself successful up to 1.40 m and is a sister to World Cup Final winner Corbinian, ridden by Steve Guerdat (SUI). Other international competition horses, as well as the licensed stallions Cornet Rubin, Darjeeling, and Grand Amour, make this family one of the highest-performing in the collection.

Cat. No. 44 Gershwin

Colt by Grand Slam VDL out of Comme la Reine MC by Comme Prévu – Stakko

Gershwin is a modern, long-legged stallion prospect from a proven competitive pairing. His sire, Grand Slam VDL, ranks among the international 1.60 m elite under Jur Vrieling (NED), while the Oldenburg Grand Premium winner and World Championship finalist Comme Prévu on the dam’s side guarantees additional quality. The family also impresses with internationally successful show jumping genetics: the line includes, among others, the sport horses Askari, Big Lady ZE, and Luckys Caschmere, as well as two licensed stallions.

Cat. No. 46 Casanova VK

Colt by Casallco out of OSHPrSt. Angelina by Balou du Rouet – Cordalme

If performance is hereditary, then it certainly is in Casanova VK. The son of the top sire Casallco comes from an exceptionally successful show jumping family. His dam, Angelina, is a sister to the two show jumpers Quatar and Blue Balou, who were successful up to 1.60 m, as well as the internationally successful Salitos and Lord Lennart VK. The direct maternal line also produced Cold Play, a team silver medalist for Sweden at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon—another flagship of this exceptional family.

The three colts represent a collection of show jumpers that combines modern top sires with proven performance lines and offers excellent prospects for both competition and breeding. On August 8, the auction day begins at 12:30 p.m. with the presentation of the show jumping foals at a gallop, followed by the dressage foals at 2:00 p.m. The OnLive auction begins at 5:00 p.m. on the outdoor arena at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta. Bids may be placed on-site, online via HORSE24, by phone, or via written bid orders. Anyone looking for a future show jumping star or a valuable investment for sport and breeding will find ideal conditions in Vechta.
