Oldenburg dressage horses made an impressive mark on both the international and national stage at the weekend. At the CDI4*, the Neustädter Pferdesommer, in Neustadt (Dosse), they shone with victories, medals and numerous top placings from the Junior classes through to Grand Prix, while another success in the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal was recorded in Elmlohe.

Dandy Style, born 2015, by El.H. Dante Weltino OLD out of Vb.Pr.St. Wolke by Blue Hors Don Schufro, breeder: Hartmut Grünloh, Quakenbrück, owner: Janne Kjaer Rohmann, Denmark, and Sofie Aagaard Buur-Thomsen from Denmark led the lap of honour in the Junior Team Test and celebrated bronze in the Individual Competition as well as fourth place in the Freestyle. Dandy Style was discovered at the 2020 Spring Elite Auction.
Danubio OLD, born 2013, by Dante Weltino out of Donna Leon by Laudabilis - De Niro, breeder: Esther Wagner, Edewecht, owner: Katharina Paschertz, Cloppenburg, impressed under Clara Paschertz with fourth place in an Intermediaire I. Danubio OLD was discovered at the 2016 Winter Mixed Sales in Vechta.
Djamalla OLD, born 2016, by Don Romanov out of Mrs. Poppen by Sir Donnerhall I - Ehrentusch, breeder: Carsten Gebers, Winsen, owners: Therese and Björn-Uwe Mercker, impressed with Vivianne Mercker by taking silver in the Freestyle, bronze in the Team Test and fifth place in the Junior Individual Competition. Djamalla began her career at the Elite Foal Auction in Vechta.
Dolcetto di Maggio, born 2015, by Dimaggio out of El.St. Fenena by Santander H, breeder: Gabriele Heinisch, Berlin, owner: Joseph Chu, Taiwan, and Alina Röhricht were rewarded with silver in an Intermediaire I. El.St. Fenena also produced the S-level successful full brothers Duca di Maggio and Dono di Maggio OLD.
Double Check, born 2016, by Don Nobless out of Shiva by San Amour I, breeder: Volker Wulff, Hagen, owner: Mareike Groth-Becker, won silver in an Intermediaire II and bronze in an Intermediaire A under Felix Kneese. Granddam Franziska produced the licensed San Francesco by San Remo, who has celebrated victories up to Grand Prix level.
Fidelio, born 2014, by Don Frederic out of Runa by Rohdiamant, breeder: Gestüt und Seminarhaus Bommer AG, Switzerland, owners: Susanne and Charlotte-Elisabeth Schur, finished fourth in the Individual Competition and sixth in the Young Riders Freestyle with Charlotte-Elisabeth Schur. His granddam is El.St. Rumirell, dam of the licensed stallions Rubin Royal OLD, Glock's Romanov, Rubin Action OLD and Rockefeller. Alongside the first three, Rumicello and Rachmaninov are also successful in advanced dressage classes.
Finn Firle Franz, born 2014, by El.H. Franziskus out of El.St. Taiga by Stedinger, breeder: Clemens Fleming, Löningen, owners: Roswitha Jacobsen and Antonia Christine Palma e Santos, Norway, and Antonia Christine Palma e Santos from Norway danced to sixth place in an Intermediaire II and seventh place in an Intermediaire A. Dam Taiga produced the Oldenburg Main Premium mare Tarelle by Farrell.
Foodfox’ For Gold OLD, born 2014, by El.H. Franziskus out of St.Pr.St. Weihcera by Zack - Don Schufro, breeder: Next Generation Dressurpferde der Zukunft GmbH, Köln, owner: Katharina Paschertz, Cloppenburg, was decorated under Clara Paschertz with silver in the Team Test and Freestyle and bronze in the Young Riders Individual Competition. Dam Weihcera, a daughter of Weihegold, was awarded the 1e premium at the Elite Mare Show in Rastede.
Forty Seven, born 2015, by Fahrenheit out of Despina by De Niro - Weltmeyer, breeder: Hubert Ratermann, Alfhausen, owner: Günter Franz Otto Halfpap, achieved fourth place in the Freestyle and sixth place in both the Team Test and Individual Competition for Young Riders with Letizia Brandt. Forty Seven began his career as a foal at the Autumn Elite Auction in Vechta.
Gremlin, born 2015, by Grey Flanell out of El./St.Pr.St. Daytona by Donnerschwee, breeder: Andrea Gräfin von Merveldt, Vechta, owner: Bille Davidson, USA, and Quinn Iverson piaffed to victory in a Grand Prix Special and fourth place in a Grand Prix. El./St.Pr.St. Daytona is also the dam of the licensed Füchtels Exupéry by Escamillo and the S-level winning Füchtels To Limit OLD by Top Gear, and produced the Elite and State Premium mare Dolivia by Fürst Romancier.
Morricone I, born 2012, by Millennium/Trak. out of Hartima by Rubin-Royal - De Niro, breeder: Heinrich Vahle, Friesoythe, owner: Gestüt Bonhomme GmbH & Co., Werder, celebrated victory in a Grand Prix Freestyle and silver in a Grand Prix under Moritz Treffinger. In 2015, the Oldenburg Champion Stallion Morricone, who became the dressage winner of the 30-day test in Adelheidsdorf, was celebrated as Main Premium winner in the dressage section. His full brothers Morricone II and III were also licensed in Vechta. Montblanc, born 2016, by Morricone I out of Estelle by Sandro Hit - Feiner Stern, breeder and owner: Günter Lüschen, Wardenburg, was sold to Switzerland for 72,000 euros at the 94th Elite Auction.
Perla Negra, born 2015, by Negro out of El./St.Pr.St. Pandora by Sir Donnerhall-Lavauzelle AA-Inschallah AA, breeder: Christine Arns-Krogmann, Lohne, owner: Jacqueline Tonnaer, Netherlands, placed eighth in an Intermediaire II with Jacqueline Tonnaer from the Netherlands. Her dam El./St.Pr.St. Pandora was awarded the 1e prize in the Brillantring at the 2011 Elite Mare Show. She produced the licensed Don de Niro by De Niro, Filou by For Romance I, First Man by For Romance II and a son by Viva Gold OLD. Her daughter Passion by Grey Flanell received the Oldenburg Main Premium qualification and is now successful in S-level dressage classes, while daughter Pommery Look OLD was awarded the 1c premium at the Elite Mare Show and placed in the final at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf.
Quanciano, born 2017, by Quaterback out of El./St.Pr.St. Urania by Stedinger, breeders: ZG Aloys and Christian Hinxlage, owner: Linda Yi-Ju Chen, and Vera Fürst rode to fourth place in both an Intermediaire A and an Intermediaire II. Full brother Quateron was licensed and awarded premium stallion status, while full brother Quel Filou celebrates international success at five-star level under Anna Zibrandtsen. Half-brother Divaro by Dimaggio also impresses in international S** dressage classes. All three were discovered through the Oldenburg auctions.
San Simeon OLD, born 2010, by Sir Donnerhall I out of Jovanna by Johnson - Welt Hit II - Barsoi xx, breeder: Walter Hinrichs, Westerstede, owner: Mareike Groth-Becker, finished eighth in a Grand Prix Special under Felix Kneese. Full brother Sheeran is also internationally successful at Grand Prix level with the Dane Jacob Nörby Sörensen. Dam Jovanna also produced the S-level dressage horse Federleicht by Fürstenball under Tanja Fischer.
Toronto Lightfoot, born 2013, by Totilas out of Okima Lightfoot by Onassis - Michellino, breeder: Stutteri Lightfoot, Denmark, owner: Scott Durkin, USA, secured fifth place in a Grand Prix Special and eighth place in a Grand Prix with Meagan Davis.

Füchtels High Light OLD, born 2018, by Floriscount out of El./OLHPrSt. High Heels by Damon Hill - Roadster, breeder: Andrea Gräfin von Merveldt, Vechta, owner: Clemens Graf von Merveldt, Vechta, and Laura Strobel celebrated bronze in two St. Georg Special*, the qualifying class and the final qualifier for the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal. Dam High Heels was highly placed in the final of the Bundeschampionat for five-year-old dressage horses. This mare family has been cultivated by the von Merveldt family for generations. Bred to the homebred Floriscount, she produced, among others, the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses participant Füchtels High Light OLD, who is now successful at advanced level. The Oldenburg Champion Mare Füchtels Hedda by Bonds also descends from this highly successful mare line.
