At the European Championships for Children and Juniors in Olomouc, Czech Republic, Oldenburg dressage horses once again proved to be reliable medal winners. With team gold for Germany in both the Children and Junior Championships, several individual medals and numerous top placings, the Oldenburg horses impressively demonstrated their international class.
Brando L, born 2016, by Belissario out of Wirbelwind by Donnerball, breeder: Martin Reents, Dunum, owner: Robert Lualdi, Switzerland, placed eleventh in the Junior Team Competition with Switzerland's Leana Hofmann.
Dark Dancer, born 2015, by Danone out of El.St. Donaumond by Fürst Romancier, breeder: Katja Schiele-Jenei, Sieversdorf, owner: Christina Berghaus-Kohoutek, and Clara Kohoutek danced to team gold with the German team in both the Junior Team and Individual Competitions. After a weather-related interruption in the middle of their Freestyle, the pair also claimed silver in the Junior Freestyle. His full brother Deodorio was licensed in 2018 at the Oldenburg Horse Centre Vechta.
Destino, born 2012, by Destano out of Elena by Rohdiamant, breeder: Heinz Wulf, Saterland, owner: Pamela Jonker, celebrated team gold with Germany under Birte Niessing, as well as fifth place in both the Individual Competition and the Freestyle, and eighth place in the Junior Team Competition.
Fantastico, born 2019, by Fürst Wilhelm out of Glade by Desperados, breeder: Gerd Wesseln, Esterwegen, owner: Anna Wojciechowska-Gorska, Poland, finished fifth in the Children Team Competition, tenth in the Individual Competition and eleventh in the Preliminary Competition with Poland's Sandra Gorska.
Figo de Halliers, born 2018, by El.H. Fürstenball out of El./St.Pr.St. Weihe Glück by Totilas, breeder: Earl Cheval De Halliers, owners: Torsten and Tom Schuchmann, and Linda Schuchmann won team gold with Germany after finishing second in both the Preliminary Competition and the Children Team Competition. The pair also celebrated silver in the Individual Competition. Figo de Halliers was licensed. Weihe Glück is a daughter of Weihegold OLD and paraded on the Brillantring at the Elite Mare Show in Rastede in 2015.
Francis Drake OLD, born 2016, by Franklin out of El.St. Dina by Don Schufro - Akzent II, breeder: Dr. Jobst Hartmann, Hodorf, owner: Maria Raupach, Damme, impressed under Martha Raupach with team gold for Germany, as well as fourth place in the Junior Team Competition and seventh place in the Individual Competition. Francis Drake OLD was discovered as a foal at the Elite Foal Auction in Vechta. Dam Dina also produced the licensed stallion Roadrunner by Romanov Blue Hors and the likewise licensed Great Schufro by Grey Flanell.
Friday I'm in Love, born 2015, by Fürsten-Look out of Balance by Bulgari, breeder: Ilona Heyrovská, owner: Miriam Viesnerova, Czech Republic, placed fourteenth in the Children Individual Competition with the Czech rider Jasmina Vasaryova.
Saluna W OLD, born 2019, by Secret out of Wenecia by Wolkenstein II - Matcho AA, breeder: Dr. med. Roland Wünschel, Bakum, owner: Cecilie Marie Hohl, and Cecilie Marie Hohl beamed after finishing fourth in the Team Competition, winning team gold with Germany and bronze in the Children Individual Competition.
