The first championship title was awarded today as part of the Oldenburg State Championships in Höven, with the decision on the State Champion among the three-year-old fillies and geldings.
The title was secured by Spotlight, born in 2023, by Secret out of VbPrSt. Fiora Bellissima M by Fürst Romancier, bred by: Laura Brandenburg, Barnstorf; owner: Moormann-Hanke GbR; ridden by Sina Aringer.
The reserve title went to Iceman, born in 2023, by Asgard’s Ibiza out of OLHPrSt. Great Heard AK by Grey Flanell; breeder: Andreas Klinker, Molbergen, owner: Hengsthaltung Kemper GmbH, ridden by Mareike Mimberg-Hess. Iceman was licensed last year in Vechta and subsequently sold at the stallion market. His dam, Great Heard AK, produced the Oldenburg Grand Premium mare Great Hope AK when paired with the Elite stallion Vitalis.
Taking third place were Nexolia Kyniska, born in 2023, by Kjento out of Raja by Vivaldi, breeder: Günter Söhnel, Gehrde, owner: Nexolia Dressage, and the Swedish rider Jessica Lynn-Thomas. Her granddam, StPrSt. Rosenprinzessin, paraded in the Brillantring at the Elite Mare Show in Rastede.
Important groundwork for the season was also laid in the Class S dressage test for horses wearing a curb bit. With their performances, Viva Vitalis OLD and Infantino OLD secured the coveted spot in the 2026 OLD Masters final in Vechta.
Viva Vitalis OLD, born in 2019, by El.H. Vitalis out of El.St. Furtherance by Fürst Romancier, bred by Gestüt Lewitz, owned by the Saxon State Stud Administration Landgestüt Moritzburg and Paul Schockemöhle Pferdehaltung GmbH, led the victory lap under Lukas Fischer. His dam, Furtherance, produced the licensed Go for Romance when paired with Governor.
Infantino OLD, born in 2018, by Asgard’s Ibiza out of the licensed/State-approved mare Sweet Romance by Sandro Hit – Weltmeyer, bred and owned by Dr. Friederike Rehkamp, Bersenbrück, and Kira Wulferding, took home the bronze. Infantino was licensed in 2020 at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta. His grandmother, Wolke Sieben, produced the S-level successful Donna Negra when paired with Don Frederico.
Tomorrow, Friday, the first decision on the course in the Youngster Tour final will be made starting at 6:30 p.m.
