On Friday, 3 July 2026, Oldenburger Pferde Vermarktungs GmbH will celebrate a special premiere: for the first time, an Elite Foal Tournament Auction will take place as part of the Covalliero Dressage Days at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen am Teutoburger Wald.
Twelve carefully selected dressage foals with internationally renowned pedigrees will take centre stage. Their bloodlines combine celebrated sires and today's leading stallions with dam lines whose quality is proven through licensed stallions, European Champions, Olympic success and Grand Prix performers.
Catalogue No. 1 – HP Iconic Gold, by Independent out of OLHPr Elite Mare Elfengold by Viva Gold – De Niro – Sion, breeder: HP Horses ApS, Denmark, opens the auction as an exceptional colt. With his outstanding movement, modern type and exceptional genetic background, HP Iconic Gold is a highly promising prospect for both sport and breeding. Born on 16 May 2026, the son of premium stallion Independent carries the renowned Elfenblume mare family on both the sire's and dam's side, a family that has produced outstanding dressage horses for decades.
His immediate relatives underline the strength of this pedigree: his brother HP Esplendido by Escanto PS achieved a top price and was sold to France, while two Grand Prix horses are siblings of his granddam. His third dam, Elfensonne, produced the licensed and internationally successful Grand Prix stallion Dimanche Royal by De Niro, as well as the Grand Prix-winning US Champion Elfenfeuer by Florencio I. The internationally successful Grand Prix sire Depardieu also descends from this distinguished mare family.
Another highlight is Catalogue No. 5 – Feine Feder, by the Oldenburg Main Premium Champion Federer out of Elite/State Premium Mare Rochelle by Dimaggio – Lord Liberty G – Goldlöwe, breeder: Gut Füchtel Family von Merveldt, Vechta. This elegant filly captivates with her presence, expression and outstanding quality of movement. Born on 5 May 2026, she combines a modern dressage type with elasticity and remarkable charisma.
Her pedigree is equally impressive. Her brother, Vodka Soda by elite stallion Vitalis, recently celebrated major success under Lilly Kasselmann, winning team gold and individual bronze at the European Children‘s Championships. Dam Rochelle belongs to one of Oldenburg's most successful dressage families. She is the sister of the licensed and Grand Prix-successful Detroit and the Grand Prix horse Rhapsodie Queen. The family has also produced numerous successful sport horses, including the Intermediaire I winner Bohemian Rhapsodie under Kira Wulferding and her son Venturo.
Combining the latest genetics with proven performance bloodlines, this collection represents the very highest level of modern dressage breeding. The venue could hardly be more fitting: shortly before the World Championships in Aachen, the international dressage community will once again turn its attention to Hof Kasselmann in Hagen am Teutoburger Wald. In this first-class setting, the twelve Elite Foals will capture the interest of breeders, riders and investors from around the world on 3 July.
