With the Oldenburg Stable Sales, Oldenburger Pferde Vermarktungs GmbH has successfully established a new marketing format in the market. The first collection featured 16 dressage and show jumping horses and generated significant interest among both buyers and sellers.
Even during the marketing phase, five horses found new owners via the “Buy Now” option. The average price achieved was 14,102 euros. The remaining auction candidates were subsequently sold online and achieved an average price of 17,636 euros.
What makes the Stable Sales unique is that the horses remain in their home stables during the marketing period, where interested parties can meet and try them out. The concept was complemented by a central presentation and trial event at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta, where the entire collection was showcased in one location.
The response to the new offering confirms that we are on the right track. The concept combines the advantages of individual marketing with the reach and transparency of a modern online sales process. At the same time, it allows buyers to get to know their potential new sport partners under real-world conditions.
With the Stable Sales, Oldenburger Pferde Vermarktungs GmbH is expanding its marketing offerings to include an additional platform alongside its established auctions. The successful premiere lays the foundation for the format’s further development and demonstrates that individual marketing channels are increasingly in demand in the sport horse sector.
Roland Metz, Auction Director and Managing Director of Oldenburger Pferde Vermarktungs GmbH, draws a positive conclusion: “The Stable Sales were very well received by our customers. In particular, the opportunity to get to know the horses in their familiar surroundings was taken full advantage of. The successful premiere confirms our decision to further expand this format as a meaningful addition to our marketing portfolio.”
