Oldenburg dressage horses once again demonstrated their outstanding form at the most recent stops of the renowned “DERBY Stars of Tomorrow” series. Both at Hof Bernadotte near Berlin and at the LONGINES BALVE OPTIMUM, the historic venue of the German Championships, Oldenburg horses impressed with strong performances, once again underscoring the quality of Oldenburg dressage horse breeding.

At the qualifier on May 31 at Hof Bernadotte, Florida Keys by Fiderdance – Sir Donnerhall I, ridden by Moritz Treffinger, secured an outstanding third place and was also named the best Oldenburg horse of the event. The successful Oldenburg mare was bred by Gestüt Bonhomme in Werder.
Florida Keys is already well known in the dressage arena: Together with Moritz Treffinger, the Oldenburg mare has enjoyed success in the U25 Tour up to Grand Prix*** level. Her dam line also stands for performance and quality. The line includes, among others, the S-level successful Devito by De Niro and the former Vechta auction foal Satin Rouge by Sir Donnerhall I. Florida Keys’ great-granddam, Gurena by Renoir I, was the champion mare at the 1999 Show of the Best in Oldenburg. Among others, she produced three auction horses for the Oldenburg Auction in Vechta, licensed stallions, and numerous S-level successful sport horses.
An Oldenburg dressage horse also impressed at the next stop on June 6 as part of the LONGINES BALVE OPTIMUM. Serious 5 by San Amour I – Fürst Romancier achieved a strong second place with Friederike Tebbel, making him the best Oldenburg horse at the Balve stop. Serious 5 has also already achieved success up to Grand Prix*** level. His dam, Flores, produced, among others, Baltic Bella by Bretton Woods, who is competing successfully up to Class S in the Young Riders Tour with Pauline Strunz.
Two stops, two strong Oldenburg results—and yet another positive sign of the quality, consistency, and potential of Oldenburg dressage horse breeding in the junior ranks.
The series continues tomorrow with the next stop in Ludwigsburg-Monrepos.
The Oldenburg Association warmly congratulates all riders, owners, and breeders on these successes and wishes them continued success for the upcoming stops in the series.
