On Saturday, June 13, 2026, the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta will open its doors to breeders, riders, and friends of the Oldenburg horse. The 15th Oldenburg Special Edition presents an exclusive collection of hand-selected dressage and show jumping foals that impress with modern pedigrees, high-performing dam lines, and excellent prospects for competition and breeding.
This year’s collection combines top-class international genetics with proven Oldenburg performance families. Quality of movement, ability, and character form the foundation of a selection that appeals to both ambitious competitive riders and forward-thinking breeders. Those looking to invest early in the talents of tomorrow will find numerous exciting young prospects in Vechta.
Representative of the quality of this year’s collection are the dressage prospect Valeria and the show jumping prospect Lady Theida, who deserve special attention for their pedigrees and potential.
Catalog number 24: an offering that is as elegant as it is performance-oriented. Valeria, born February 26, 2026, by Verbier out of Daydream by De Niro – Sandro Hit – Rubinstein I, bred by: Bernd Lübbers, Löningen, Breeder: Lübbers Hof GbR, Löningen, a daughter of the celebrated champion stallion and Grand Premium winner Verbier, captivates with her modern conformation and expressive movement. One of her brothers by Vivino is licensed, while another was sold to regular customers from Poland at the foal auction in Hagen. Granddam Seerose is a sister to the Grand Prix-winning Sanubi (by Antje Häschke) and the Intermediaire I-winning San Siro (by Rena Fraikin). The fourth dam is a sister to four horses successful at the S-level, including Petit Prince (by Sven-Günter Rothenberger) and Avignon (by Thomas Schmitz). The storied Edoste family, which also produced the top sire Fürst Romancier, lends this young athlete additional significance. Valeria thus possesses the best prerequisites for a successful future in dressage.
No less interesting is catalogue number 17, a daughter of the world-class sire Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve. Lady Theida, born March 17, 2026, by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve out of VbPrSt. Lady Diamantina by Diamant De Semilly – Landor S – Contender, bred and raised by Sportpferdezucht Ehrlich GbR, Meissen, comes from the famous Heida line and combines proven jumping genes with an extremely appealing appearance. Her sister Lady Cassina by Casino Grande has already found new owners in the USA via an Oldenburg foal auction, while the dam Lady Diamantina is the sister of the four licensed stallions Cador, Diamant de Landor, Calandor, and Comanchero, as well as numerous show jumpers successful at 1.40 m and higher, such as the OS champion mare Lady Cadora OLD/Hendrik Sosath. In addition, numerous internationally successful horses, such as the 1.60 m-level successful Lady Lordana OLD/Hendrik Sosath and Lobster/Sören Pedersen, DEN, trace back to this family. Lady Theida thus presents herself as an exciting prospect for discerning breeders and riders alike.
Anyone who wants to experience tomorrow’s stars live should mark June 13, 2026, on their calendar. At the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta, the show jumping foals will be presented at a gallop starting at 5:00 p.m., before the dressage foals delight the audience at 5:30 p.m. This is an opportunity to experience the up-and-coming talents in person and get a sense of tomorrow’s sport and breeding partners.
Starting at 6:30 p.m., the traditional “Welcome to Vechta” event, featuring free beer and live music, invites breeders, customers, and horse enthusiasts to enjoy a convivial get-together. The highlight of the evening is the auction, which begins at 7:00 p.m.
