At the Dressage Days as part of the CDI*** Aachen, the Oldenburg dressage horses celebrated wonderful successes.

Caty OLD, born in 2014, by Sir Donnerhall I out of elite and state premium mare C’est bon by Fürst Heinrich, breeder: Paul Wendeln, Garrel, owner: Peter Wendeln, and ridden by Laura-Franziska Riegel, danced to victory in an Intermediaire I and bronze in a Prix St Georges. Caty OLD was presented on the prestigious Brilliantring at the Elite Mare Show in Rastede in 2017. Her full brothers Sir Heinrich OLD and Si Bon were licensed. Her full sisters Cindy OLD, Candy OLD and Casey OLD were awarded the state premium and the Oldenburg main premium respectively, as was half-sister Calla by Rock Forever I. Alongside Sir Heinrich OLD, Candy OLD and Brakarys by elite stallion Bordeaux are also successful in advanced level dressage.

Danclair, born in 2015, by Danciano out of Lady Liostro by Lord Sinclair – Cagliostro xx, breeder: Ulrich Kasselmann, Hagen a.T.W., owner: Katharina Pawluk, Poland, placed fourth in an Intermediaire I and fifth in a Prix St Georges under Spain’s Fernando Esteban Ruiz. The eight-year-old licensed stallion Danclair was sold to Sweden as a four-year-old to Grand Prix rider Charlotte Haid-Bondergaard and was trained there up to Grand Prix level.

Faye, born in 2015, by Fürst Wilhelm out of Uniform by Aljano, breeder: Elke Lubahn, Schmarsow, owner: Theresa Semler, piaffed to 14th place in both a Grand Prix and a Grand Prix Special with Australia’s William Matthew.

Fürst Fernando OLD, born in 2013, by elite stallion Fürstenball out of Viva Rosaria by Rosario – Sandro Song, breeder: Indira Wallner, Moltzow-Schwinkendorf, owner: Familie Pawluk, Poland, and ridden by Poland’s Caroline Pawluk, impressed with silver in the team test and bronze in the individual competition for Young Riders. Fürst Fernando OLD was trained up to Intermediaire I by Katharina Hemmer, rider for Hubertus Schmidt, and achieved numerous victories and top placings with her, including at international level. In 2021 and 2022, Hemmer and Fürst Fernando OLD competed in the qualifiers for the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal. Granddam Viva Chica also produced the advanced level successful Rastelli by Royal Hit with Nadine Fliss.

Drosa Fürst Kennedy OLD, born in 2015, by Fürsten-Look out of Fiodora by Don Kennedy – Contender – Tin Rocco, breeder: Gestüt Lewitz, owner: Joao Moreira, Roberto Pedrosa Haras Do Drosa, Portugal, triumphed in a Grand Prix under Portugal’s Joao Pedro Moreira and also finished fourth in a Grand Prix Special. His brother Buenos Dias by Bordeaux was licensed in Vechta. Dam Fiodora is the sister of Kristy Oatley’s Grand Prix horse Ronan by Riccione, as well as of three licensed stallions: First Class by Florencio, the Oldenburg premium stallion Soprano by Sandro Hit and a licensed son by Don Primero. Fürst Kennedy descends from the renowned Flattopia mare family.

Abtwald’s Götterfunke, born in 2017, by Grand Galaxy Win out of Feuerfee vom Abtwald by Sandro Prinz, breeder: ZG Dathe-Schulz, Gelenau, owner: Stefan Erdtmann, celebrated victory in a Prix St Georges and silver in an Intermediaire I with Australia’s Warwick McLean.

Quattromani OLD, born in 2011, by Quaterback out of Alice by Latimer Trakehner – Rubinstein I – Welt As, breeder: ZG B. Budeus-Wiegert and R. Wiegert, Groß-Nemerow, owner: RM Horses Trading B.V., placed seventh in the individual competition and eighth in the team test for Young Riders with Italy’s Elisa Borghesi. The granddam had already produced the advanced level dressage winners Domenico under Arno Leber and Destination with Bianca Kasselmann in the saddle. Quattromani OLD was licensed in Vechta in 2013 and sold at the stallion market.
