As part of the historic Maimarkt Tournament in Mannheim, the ten top-class young prospects from the Oldenburg Foal Auction made their debut before an international audience and shone as brightly as the sun. The carefully selected collection combines offspring of stallions in high demand worldwide and with proven sporting success with established, performance-tested dam lines, thereby guaranteeing the highest level of quality for both competitive use and breeding.

Jumping foals impress with athleticism and pedigree

In the jumping group, catalog number 3, Holly Lou, born March 17, 2026, by Highway M TN out of Catalou by Christian – Lincolm L – Don Juan, bred and owned by Boris Gruber, Rot an der Rot, set new standards. Modern, athletic, and endowed with excellent movement quality, she combines the performance potential of her sire, the 2025 World Cup winner in Leipzig under Willem Greve/NED, with a highly proven dam line. Her dam Catalou was successful in S* show jumping under Edwin Schmuck and has already produced the 1.25 m show jumping success Kitaro, ridden by Markus Schindler. Catalou is also the sister of the two licensed stallions Christiano by Christian and Colosseo by Cornet Obolensky, as well as the 1.40 m-successful Lancaster/M. Brückmann-Levien. Her dam is the sister of two horses successful at 1.45 m and higher, including Wienna/Armin Jr. Schäfer.

But catalog number 9, Zimba, born March 8, 2026, by Zirocco Blue out of Frühlings-Queen by Lord Pezi – Frühlingsball – Pilot, bred and trained by Sylke Stuhrberg of Brake, also made a strong impression during her presentation. The young sport horse impresses with her presence, a powerful canter, and an exceptional pedigree that has produced numerous internationally successful show jumpers. Sire Zirocco Blue shone under Jur Vrieling, NED, as a European Team Champion. Her sister Djane by Diamant de Semilly moved to Hungary via the 2021 Elite Auction, while her full brother Zaristo moved to a renowned sport stable in 2025. The granddam is a sister to Fernet M/Thomas Holz, Let’s Go/Joachim Heyer, and First of April/Antonia Vogt, all successful at 1.40 m and higher. The third dam is a sister to the Olympic champion Goldstern/K. Balkenhol. This maternal line also produced Lilly M/Saskia Kobe, Countdown IV/Romain Sottas (SUI), Batista/Marc Bettinger, and Carlotta/Penelope Leprevost (FRA), all of whom have been successful at 1.40 m and higher.

Dressage foals steal the show

Leading the way was the stunning catalog number 4, Zaubermaus, born March 2, 2026, by Zacolar di Mantova out of Supergirl by San Amour I – Rubinstein I – Gutenberg, bred and trained by Michael Niethammer, Weil der Stadt, with lively and supple movements and outstanding quality. This elegant dressage princess hails from the first crop of Zacolar di Mantova. Her highly decorated dam line—her dam is a sister to the licensed stallion Walker by Wolkentanz as well as to the Grand Prix winner and World and European Championship participant Deep Impact/Severo Jurado Lopez, ESP, and Charlotte Jorst, USA—has produced numerous top international horses and underscores her excellent prospects.

Goldmarie, born February 3, 2026, by Gold Garant NRW out of Double Glück by Double Glück – Hesselteichs Grimaldi – Notre Noir, bred and owned by Christiane Bader of Besigheim, danced through the arena as a pony filly with powerful movement, great momentum, and promising talent. Her sire, a National Champion, is already regarded as a guarantee of sporting success and breeding quality. Her sire, Gold Garant NRW, was the National Champion among five-year-old dressage ponies and has already sired more than 20 licensed sons at a young age. Her dam, Double Glück, is a sister to the licensed Mr. Lover Lover by Mr. Wayne, as well as to the winning foal by Gold Garant, which received top marks at the German Foal Championships in Lienen.
