As part of the international equestrian tournament Horses & Dreams at Hof Kasselmann in Hagen am Teutoburger Wald, this year’s Elite Foal Auction on Friday, April 24, at 8:30 p.m. promises to be a special highlight. A total of 21 carefully selected foals by highly successful sport sires and from high-performing, internationally successful dam lines will be offered for sale—with excellent prospects for top-level sport and modern horse breeding.
Catalog number 1 immediately makes a statement with the beautifully moving, dark bay First Lady, born February 2, 2026, by For Romance I out of the elite mare Diamond Lady by Diamond Hit – Landadel – Laibach, bred and owned by Dr. Rolf-Peter Schulze, Tiddische. The daughter of the champion stallion and top dressage horse sire For Romance I presents herself with plenty of drive. Her dam, Diamond Lady, has already given birth to the licensed For Austria by For Romance I as well as her full brother Fiorissimo, an Oldenburg premium stallion and 2025 State Vice-Champion. Her offspring have already achieved six-figure top prices at auctions on multiple occasions. In addition, Diamond Lady is the sister of the licensed stallions Charme and Lord of Loxley, who enjoyed Grand Prix success with the Dutch rider Hans Peter Minderhoud.
Another highlight is catalog number 4: the elegant, strikingly beautiful, and charming stallion prospect Espoire Gold, born March 17, 2026, by Elite Stallion Escolar out of OLHPrSt. Weihe’s Happiness OLD by Dynamic Dream – Sir Donnerhall I – Don Schufro, bred by: Christine Arns-Krogmann, Lohne, Breeder: Zuchthof Arns-Krogmann GbR, Lohne, is by the Elite stallion and Grand Prix winner Escolar and out of the globally sought-after and renowned Weissena line. His dam, Weihe’s Happiness OLD, is the reigning German Champion of four-year-old riding horses and Oldenburg Reserve Champion Mare. She is a sister to the premium stallion L’avenir by Le Formidable and the licensed Everglow Gold by Escolar. His granddam, the elite mare Weihe’s Hope, also produced the champion foal Spirit of Hope by Seacrest at last year’s German Foal Championships in Lienen. Catalog number 7, Coco de la Pierre, born 02/17/2026, by Colestus out of VbPrSt. Deauville Z by Dollar Dela Pierre - Lex Lugar - Acord II, bred and owned by Pferdezucht Dr. Rowold, Haselünne, is a daughter of the sought-after sire Colestus, who sired Greya, the current World Cup Final winner. The association premium mare Deauville Z, in combination with Cornet Obolensky, produced Cordolex, who was licensed last year in Verden, as well as the S**-successful La Rochelle Z by Lord Pezi Junior. Dam Deauville Z is also a sister to the licensed Colugar-H by Codex One, who performs convincingly at the 1.45 m level, as well as to the Vice-National Champion of the six-year-olds and now 1.60 m-successful Cornet XL by Cornet Obolensky. Catalog number 17 features Eminence, born March 7, 2026, by Emerald van het Ruytershof out of Carnival Z by Cornet Obolensky – Lupicor – Haarlem, bred and owned by ZG Savels & Menke, Lengerich, also a daughter of Global Champions Tour winner Emerald van het Ruytershof.
Endowed with spirit, agility, and an internationally proven dam line, this foal possesses the best prerequisites for a successful future in show jumping. Her dam is the sister of two 1.50 m show jumpers: Cosmea Z by Calvados Z and Cool Running VDV Z by Cicero Z.
Prospective buyers will have the opportunity to get a comprehensive overview of the collection in advance: On Thursday, April 23, all foals will be presented in the show jumping arena at approximately 6:45 p.m. On auction day, the dressage foals will be presented at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the dressage arena, followed by the show jumping foals at approximately 5:15 p.m. in the show jumping arena.
