As the saying goes, all good things come in threes. After Swedish rider Maria von Essen and her Oldenburg horse Invoice danced their way to silver in each of the past two years, they celebrated victory in the World Cup qualifier at the CDI-W in Gothenburg, Sweden, this weekend.

Beaujolais, born in 2014, by El.H. Bordeaux out of St.Pr.St. Whitney A by Sandro Hit, bred by Bernhard Arkenberg, Damme, owned by Petra Hofma, Netherlands, delighted under Marsja Dijkman from the Netherlands in sixth place in the Grand Prix and eighth place in the World Cup Freestyle. Dam Whitney paraded at the Elite Mare Show in Rastede.

Invoice, born 2012, by Jazz out of Roxanne by Ferro - Lancer II - Chronos/T., bred by P.J. Crum, Netherlands, owned by Alexanders Hovslageri & Hast AB, Sweden, triumphed with Maria von Essen in the World Cup Freestyle and also won bronze in the Grand Prix. ‘My horse was simply magical today. He was really with me – although I noticed that he was a little nervous given the huge crowd.’ Dam Roxanne, in combination with Vivaldi, produced the reserve champion of the 2013 Oldenburg stallion licensing, Versace.

Quel Filou OLD, born in 2011, by Quaterback out of El./St.Pr.St. Urania by Stedinger, bred by ZG Aloys and Christian Hinxlage, Garrel, owned by Bregneroedgaard Aps, Denmark, and Denmark's Anna Zibrandtsen impressed in fifth place in the Grand Prix and the World Cup Freestyle. Quel Filou OLD was presented as a foal at the 2011 Autumn Elite Auction at the Oldenburg Horse Centre in Vechta. He had already demonstrated his talent for dressage at the German Championships and the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. Quel Filou OLD is a full brother to the premium stallion Quateron. His full sister Utopia was awarded the Oldenburg main premium. His dam Urania was presented at the Elite Mare Show in Rastede and also produced the advanced level dressage horses Divaro by Dimaggio and Quanciano by Quaterback. The source of his success is the renowned Uthoba line.

QC Sir Dennis, born in 2010, by Sir Donnerhall I out of El.St. Fanfine by De Niro - Feinbrand, bred by Josef-Ludwig Brinkhus, Bakum, owned by Malin Holmgren, Stall Buskhaga, Sweden, and Linnéa Holmgren, celebrated bronze in the freestyle and fourth place in a U25 Grand Prix. Sir Dennis' dam Fanfine, in combination with Apache, produced the licensed AllSaints, born in 2013, who paraded as reserve champion at the German Foal Championships in Lienen, as well as the two state premium mares Fantasy, born in 2005, by Rohdiamant, and Fabienne, born in 2008, by Sir Donnerhall I. Sir Dennis' full sister, the association premium mare Fanfare, born in 2009, produced her oldest son Brightside, who is now a successful offspring in the advanced class. Granddam El./St.Pr.St. Fara, born in 1992, by Feinbrand, bred by Karl Peters, Butjadingen, produced the auction horse De Miro, born in 2002, bred by Ulrich Brinkhus, Emstek, for Nicole Oberberg, who placed in S** tests, by De Niro, a successful offspring in advanced dressage tests. Ulrich Brinkhus, Emstek, for Nicole Oberberg, the full brothers DJ, born in 2003, by Dr. Doolittle, for Anika Dieckmann, and Desperados, born in 2005, for Gabi Schlicht, who are placed in S** tests, and the World Cup winner Delaunay OLD, born in 2006, for Patrik Kittel. In addition, the pairing with Dr. Doolittle produced Dr. Bon Jovi, born in 2004 and licensed by the Oldenburg Horse Breeding Association in 2006.
