Weihegold OLD's grandson Viva Gold OLD won the Louisdor Prize final, a Grand Prix for eight- to ten-year-old horses, at the CDI***** Frankfurt. Her son Special Gold PCH placed in the top 5 in this competition, while her son Total Hope OLD won bronze in the World Cup Freestyle at the CDI-W London, earning important points towards a place in the final.
Viva Gold OLD, born 2016, by Vivaldi out of El.OLHPrSt. Weihronce by For Romance I - Don Schufro - Sandro Hit, bred by Christine Arns-Krogmann, Lohne, owner: Gestüt Westfalenhof and Madeleine Wintzer-Schulze, piaffed to victory under Isabell Werth in both the warm-up test for the Louisdor Prize Final, a dressage test class S***, and in the final itself. The stallion was also honoured with the Otto Lörke Prize, which is awarded annually to outstanding young Grand Prix horses. His dam Weihronce is an international Prix St. Georg winner and the dam of three licensed sons and three Oldenburg main premium mares. His granddam is none other than the legendary Weihegold OLD.
Special Gold PCH, born 2016, by San Amour I out of El.St.Pr.St. Weihegold OLD by Don Schufro - Sandro Hit, bred by Christine Arns-Krogmann, Lohne, owned by Nancy Gooding, USA, and Katharina Hemmer were delighted with fourth place in the final of the Louisdor Prize. The pair also took seventh place in the preliminary test. Special Gold was sold to the USA for a top price at the 2016 Elite Foal Auction in Vechta.
Total Hope OLD, born 2012, by El.H. Totilas out of El.St.Pr.St. Weihegold OLD by Don Schufro - Sandro Hit, breeder: Christine Arns-Krogmann, Lohne, owner: Lone Boegh-Henriksen and Paul Schockemöhle Hengsthaltung GmbH, Mühlen, impressed with Norwegian rider Isabel Freese, taking bronze in the World Cup Freestyle and fourth place in the Grand Prix in London. At the 2019 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, the black stallion already secured the bronze medal in the seven-year-old class under Isabel Freese and then won the final of the Nuremberg Burg Cup in December. Last year, he danced his way to an outstanding tenth place at the Olympic Games in Paris.
His dam, multiple champion Weihegold OLD, who won team gold and individual silver at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and triple gold at the 2017 European Championships in Gothenburg, also produced the S-level horses Vitally PCH by El.H. Vitalis, Special Gold PCH by San Amour I, Aweih H by Apache, St.Pr.St. Weihcera by Zack and Sir Weihbach by Sir Donnerhall I. The famous Weissena line also produced the licensed stallions Lux Dressage Statesman OLD by Stedinger, Inselfürst by Inschallah AA, Canaster I and II by Caprimond, as well as Triumphator and Top of Class by Titus, Damon Gold, For Gold, Extra Gold and Dodo Weihgand.
