From the dressage camp, the three-year-old Dupont, by Dynamic Dream out of Vb.Pr.St. Reika by Fidertanz-Sandro, bred and owned by Ellen Johanna Slegers, Switzerland, was the top seller with a hammer price of 40,000 euros. Customers from Germany secured this rideable gelding with great basic gaits.
The most expensive show jumping horse was the five-year-old Drama by Dominator Z out of Cenia by Cornado I - Primas, bred and owned by Christoph Zimmermann, Pinneberg, which was sold for €37,000. Her dam Cenia celebrated victories in M* level show jumping competitions at the age of seven under Markus Renzel and is the sister of the licensed and S* placed Lanzarote by Lancer III and Atlantika, who produced the two licensed Comme la vie by El.H. Comme il faut and Cristofin by Cristallo I, successful at S** level with Guido Klatte.
‘We are satisfied with this auction in terms of market prices and very satisfied with the high sales rate of around 80 percent,’ reports Roland Metz, managing director of Pferde-Vermarktungs GmbH.
Just under half of the auction candidates were purchased by Oldenburg friends from abroad. They will bring joy in Spain (3), Switzerland (2), France (2), the Netherlands, China, Poland and Great Britain (1) in the future. The average price of the 14th Oldenburg Special Edition was just under € 20,000, with a total turnover of € 469,500.
‘We are very pleased that our customers from China, for example, made the long journey to be here, felt at home and enjoyed the special atmosphere of the Christmas market,’ says Roland Metz.
Once again, the 14th Oldenburg Special Edition was framed by a Christmas market in the stable lane of the Oldenburg Horse Centre in Vechta, where a raffle was held this year in aid of the association ‘Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Vechta e. V.’ (Help for Children with Cancer Vechta). Together with our exhibitors, who provided almost 50 raffle prizes, the aim is to give the affected children a little hope at Christmas time. Numerous guests from the region and beyond visited the lovingly decorated Christmas market, supported this charitable campaign and spent a fantastic afternoon in Vechta.
