Many successful sport horse careers have their origins at Oldenburg foal auctions – where quality, potential and passion come together. The Oldenburg Horse Breeders’ Association shares exactly this vision with the traditional Maimarkt Show in Mannheim: to present young talents on a major stage at an early stage.

The Maimarkt Show, taking place from 1 to 5 May 2026, is one of Germany’s most important equestrian events, combining top-level sport with a unique atmosphere for horse enthusiasts from around the world. Within this special setting, the Oldenburg Association becomes part of an international meeting point for equestrian sport.

On Saturday, 2 May, a particular highlight takes centre stage: the Oldenburg Foal Auction at the show. Selected young talents will be presented to a wide audience for the first time – carefully chosen, with modern, performance-driven pedigrees and clear prospects for international sport.

For decades, the Oldenburg auctions have stood for quality, reliability and success. Numerous licensed stallions as well as internationally successful sport and championship horses have begun their careers here. The auction in Mannheim continues this tradition – as a stage for the stars of tomorrow and an opportunity to discover exceptional horses at an early stage.
