Following its successful debut, the Oldenburg Cross-Country Horse Championship will be held again in 2026. The second edition will take place on 24 June in Westerstede in collaboration with the Ammerländer Riding Club and offers ideal conditions for young horses with all-round potential.

The programme features cross-country horse trials in classes E to L, with a focus on training and development in eventing.

A key component is once again the mare performance test for four- to seven-year-old mares from all associations. The assessment is conducted in a practical setting during the event – including conformation, basic gaits under the rider and cross-country performance, without a test under a foreign rider. For members of the Oldenburg Association, entry into the mare stud book is also possible.

The championship offers an attractive platform for breeders, owners and riders and specifically promotes the development of versatile Oldenburg horses.
