Mare Performance Test-
for Eventing Mares
(Pilot Project)

A new opportunity for versatile mares to take the Mare Performance Test will be offered for the first time in Vechta in 2025.

Mares between four and seven years of age from all breeding associations are invited to participate in this pilot project when they take part in an eventing horse competition at the Oldenburg Eventing Horse Championships at levels E to L (80cm – 115cm). The mares have the opportunity to receive the OL-/OS-Verbandsprämie or the OL-/OS-Hauptprämie in accordance with the breeding program.

Procedure: Before the horse's first start, a Conformation Assessment will be carried out in the hand for entry in the Stud Book. Before the start of the eventing test for young horses, the judges of the Mare Performance Test will briefly assess the basic gaits under the rider.

The jumping ability will be assessed as part of the eventing test for young horses. A linear description of the mare will be provided. A test rider test will not take place as part of this pilot project. A detailed schedule will be provided at the given time with the schedule.
