Hongkong Olympionike Don Schuf-
ro ist ein Abbild seines Vaters. Er
prägte seineTochterWeihegold OLD
und gab ihr seine brillanten inneren
Werte mit. Schon als Junghengst
konnte er sich seines großen Erbes
würdig erweisen. Beim Bundes-
championat 1996 war Don Schufro
Finalist. Diesem Karrierestart folg-
ten bald Platzierungen und Siege bis
zum Grand Prix. Höhepunkt der Kar-
riere war die olympische Bronzeme-
daille in der Mannschaftswertung.
Auf die Frage, welcher Vererber die
Donnerhall-Reiterin Karin Rehbein
am meisten an Donnerhall erinnert,
zögert sie keinen Augenblick: „Don
Schufro! Er hat den gleichen Habitus
wie Donnerhall. Ein Hengst, der
mich begeistert.” Einige Blutlinien
innerhalb der Dressurpferdezucht
ergänzen einander sehr gut. Hinrei-
chend bekannt ist vor allem die gut
harmonierende Anpaarung des
Donnerhall mit Pik Bube I-Müttern.
Neben Hengsten wie Don Primero
und Don Schufro, brachte diese
Komposition die Siegerstuten von
1994 Hallo und Fabina 2003 hervor.

Schufro is the spitting image of his
sire. He not only left his mark on his
daughter Weihegold OLD but also
gave her his brilliant inner qualities.
Even as a young stallion, Don
Schufro proved to be a worthy heir.
At the Bundeschampionat in 1996
he competed in the Final in the class
for three-year old stallions. First and
other placings all the way to Grand
Prix soon followed.The zenith of his
career was when he won team
bronze at the Olympic Games.When
Donnerhall’s rider, Karin Rehbein,
was asked which of his active sons
remind her the most of Donnerhall,
she didn’t hesitate at all and imme-
diately said “Don Schufro! He looks
just like Donnerhall. I am fascinated
by this stallion.” Several bloodlines
in dressage horse breeding comple-
ment each other extremely well. It is
well-known that Donnerhall harmo-
nizes well with Pik Bube I mares.
This combination has not only pro-
duced licensed stallions that have
won advanced level dressage such
as Don Primero and Don Schufro
but also the Champion Mares Hallo
in 1994 and Fabina in 2003.
