stammt aus dem re-

nommierten Oldenburger Stu-

tenstamm der Weissena. Seit

1881 ist die Familie derWeissena

im Oldenburger Stutbuch doku-

mentiert. Einen ersten Durch-

bruch der Weissena-Dynastie

brachte die 1929 geboreneWeis-

senrode v. Granikus, die 1947 ih-

ren Sohn Ludo v. Lutz hervor-

brachte.

Weissenrode brachte ebenfalls

die Stute Weissenrode IV, geb.

1940, v. Goldengel. Weissenrode

IV lieferte aus der Anpaarung mit

Folkert 1950 ein weiteres Fohlen.

Dieses Stutfohlen erhielt den

Namen Weissena und ist uns

noch heute als Stammmutter

des weitverzweigten und mittler-

weile international zu Ehren ge-

kommenen Weissena-Stammes

bekannt. Hohe Fruchtbarkeit und

Langlebigkeit zeichneten schon

damals diese Familie aus.

Weissenas Tochter Weissena IV,

geb. 1964, v. Chronos, brachte

insgesamt zehn Töchter, die alle

im Oldenburger Stutbuch einge-

tragen wurden und den Stamm

der Weissena fortführten. Weis-

sena IV ist Weihegolds Ur-Ur-

Großmutter.

Weissgold, geb. 1982, v. Vollkorn

xx, wurde zur Urgroßmutter der

Weihegold OLD. Weissgold ist

ebenfalls die Mutter zu dem in

Intermediaire I siegreichen Duke

of Diamond v. De Niro unter Na-

tascha Hülsey.

Darüber hinaus schenkte Felicita

Weihegolds Mutter Weihevoll v.

Sandro Hit das Leben. DieTradi-

tion ihrer Mütter führtWeihegold

OLD nun selbst mit ihrer hervor-

ragenden Nachzucht fort. Diese

Oldenburger Familiengeschichte

demonstriert eindrucksvoll die

Bedeutung von sorgfältig ge-

pflegten,

leistungstragenden

Stutenstämmen für die Olden-

eihegold OLD comes

from the famous Old-

enburg mare line of Weissena.

The Weissena family has been

documented in the Oldenburg

Stud Book since 1881. The first

breakthrough of the Weissena

dynasty came about in 1929 with

the birth of Weissenrode by

Granikus, who produced a son in

1947 named Ludo by Lutz.

Weissenrode also gave birth to a

mare named Weissenrode IV,

born 1940, by Goldengel. When

bred to Folkert, Weissenrode IV

produced another filly in 1950.

This filly was given the name

Weissena and is known to this

day as the founding mare of the

widely branched and meanwhile

internationally esteemed Weis-

sena line. This family had long

been distinguished by high fertil-

ity and longevity.

Weissena‘s daughter Weissena

IV, born 1964, by Chronos, pro-

duced a total of ten daughters,

all of which were registered in

the Oldenburg Stud Book and

continued the Weissena line.

Weissena IV isWeihegold’s great

great granddam.

Weissgold, born 1982, by

Vollkorn xx, is Weihegold OLD’s

great granddam. Weissgold is

also the dam of the Intermedi-

aire I winning Duke of Diamond

by De Niro ridden by Natascha

Hülsey.

Felicity is the dam ofWeihegold’s

dam, Weihevoll by Sandro Hit.

Now it’sWeihegold OLD’s turn to

continue the tradition of the

mares in her family by produc-

ing outstanding offspring. The

history of this Oldenburg family

impressively demonstrates the

importance of carefully main-

tained,

performance-oriented

mare lines for the Oldenburg

breed.

Vechta.This licensed stallion col-

lects ribbons in fourth level dres-

sage.
