Dr. Jobst Hartmann entdeckte Weihegolds
Mutter Weihevoll 2006 auf der Winter Mixed
Sales im Lot der Zuchtstuten im Oldenbur-
ger Pferde Zentrum Vechta. Der Arzt aus
Schleswig-Holstein wird in Vechta mit
„Lobo“ betitelt, was seiner tiefen Verbin-
dung zur „Oldenburger Familie“ und seiner
Bescheidenheit Ausdruck verleiht.
Was hat Sie an Weihevoll fasziniert? Warum
haben Sie sich für diese Stute entschieden?
Dr. Jobst Hartmann: „Meinerseits war es Be-
geisterung auf den ersten Blick. Weihevoll
hat eine sehr gute Ausstrahlung und das Ge-
samtbild war sehr harmonisch: Große klare
Augen, ein korrektes Fundament und ein
ausgeglichenes Temperament. Zudem ent-
springt sie dem berühmten und erfolgrei-
chenWeissena-Stamm.“
Weihevoll brachte 2012 die Auktionsspitze
Total Recall v.Totilas für dieVechtaerAuktion.
Was zeichnete dieses Fohlen aus? Lassen
sich Parallelen zuWeihegold ziehen?
Dr. Jobst Hartmann: „Total Recall zeichnete
sich von Beginn an durch hervorragende
Grundgangarten mit exorbitanter Bewegungsgüte aus. Zudem
hat er eine sehr guteAusstrahlung und ein selbstbewusstesAuf-
treten. Attribute, die auchWeihegold OLD auszeichnen. DesWei-
teren ist sein Exterieur sehr harmonisch und korrekt, ebenso wie
sein Fundament. Charakterlich istTotal Recall ebenso wieWeihe-
gold sehr liebenswert.“
Was macht für Sie ein Dressurpferd von morgen aus? Welche
Talente sind derzeit gefragt?
Dr. Jobst Hartmann: „Das Dressurpferd von morgen sollte zum
einen möglichst herausragende Grundgangarten kombiniert
mit einer hohen Leistungsbereitschaft besitzen, zum anderen
eine gewisse Ausstrahlung mitbringen und aus einem gut
durchgezüchteten Stamm mit Dressurblut hervorgehen. Außer-
dem ist ein ausgeglichener Charakter von großer Bedeutung,
gepaart mit sehr guten Rittigkeitswerten und einem korrekten
Fundament. Das Gesamtbild muss ansprechend sein.“
Dr. Jobst Hartmann discovered Weihe-
gold’s dam Weihevoll in 2006 among the
broodmares in the Winter Mixed Sales
auction at the Oldenburg Horse Center
Vechta. The doctor from Schleswig-Hol-
stein has been nicknamed “Lobo” inVech-
ta to express his deep connection to the
“Oldenburg family” and his unassuming
nature.
What was it about Weihevoll that fasci-
nated you so much? Why did you decide
to buy this mare?
Dr. Jobst Hartmann: “As far as I am con-
cerned, I really liked the mare the first time
I saw her. Weihevoll has a strong presence
and the overall impression she made was
very harmonious: large, clear eyes, correct
conformation and a well-balanced tem-
perament. What’s more, she comes from
the famous and successfulWeissena line.”
In 2012Weihevoll’s colt named Total Recall
by Totilas was one of the top foals in the
Vechta auction. What distinguishes this
colt? Are there any parallels toWeihegold?
Dr. Jobst Hartmann: “Total Recall stood out right from the begin-
ning because of his outstanding gaits and fantastic quality move-
ments. He also radiates a strong presence and is very self-as-
sured.These are the same attributes that distinguishWeihegold
OLD. In addition, his exterior is very harmonious and his confor-
mation is very correct. As far as his character is concerned,Total
Recall is very sweet, just likeWeihegold.”
What does the dressage horse of tomorrow look like to you?
Which talents are in demand today?
Dr. Jobst Hartmann: “First of all, the dressage horse of tomorrow
should have outstanding gaits combined with a strong willing-
ness to perform. Secondly, the horse should also have a certain
magnetism and come from a well-bred line of dressage blood-
lines. A well-balanced character is extremely important, paired
with good rideability and correct conformation. The overall pic-
ture must also be attractive.”
