Adjustment of Fees

At the Delegates' Assembly on October 21, 2024, a reorganization of fees was decided.

This decision marks an important step in adapting our fee structure to ensure the continued high level of service quality for our members and specifically to address the following:

  • Compensation for Rising Operating Costs: Increases in costs from our service providers (e.g., energy, insurance, contributions, etc.) must be absorbed.
  • Service Quality: We aim to maintain and expand our excellent services to continue offering the usual quality and reliability to all members.
  • Digitalization: We are investing in the digitalization of our processes. This will result in simpler procedures, greater transparency, and quicker access to our offerings. Improved processes and digitalization will allow us to provide greater speed and flexibility in the future, enhancing the member experience.

The fee adjustments are as follows:

  • Abolishment of the Joining Fee: New members will no longer be charged a joining fee, lowering the entry barrier and making membership more attractive.
  • Increase in Membership Fees: The annual membership fee will increase from €80 to €110 for all members. To continue providing our high level of service without additional costs – such as access to popular and exclusive genetic profiles or our unique mating program – an adjustment in the annual fee is necessary.
  • Reduction of the Single Breeding Permit Fee: The fee for a single breeding permit will be reduced from €110 to €90. This reduction is intended to support breeders seeking new, internationally successful stallions from both domestic and international sources.
  • Adjustment of the Mare Levy: The mare levy will increase from €30 to €40. The rising costs for data processing, storage, and security make this adjustment unavoidable.
  • Standardized Fee for Pedigree Verification (Equine Passport) at foal registration events and yard inspections: A standardized fee of €140 will now apply for pedigree verification at both foal registration events and yard inspections. This fee includes all relevant costs such as the equine passport, microchip, registration in the HIT database, and pedigree verification. The evaluation fee for official registration events will be discontinued.
  • Adjustment of Yard Inspection Fee: The fee for an yard inspection will increase by €20 to €140 due to significant increases in operating costs associated with foal registration.

As in other areas, the adjustment of fees within the Oldenburg Association is essential. It ensures that we can continue to improve services, advance digitalization, and develop future-oriented innovations.

Despite these increases, our fees remain comparable to those of other associations and organizations. The updated fee schedule, effective January 1, 2025, will be available on our website in December this year.
