
Foal festival in Riesenbeck
For the first time, the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society and the Westphalian Stud Book organised a foal auction as part of the European Dressage Championships, which delighted breeders, riders and horse enthusiasts alike. San Maxime by San to Alati - Diamond Hit - Liberty M bred by Britta Heinen, Issum, and exhibited by Peter Michael & Britta Heinen, Issum, was the top-priced foal at 151,000 Euros. Sire San to Alati from the Brune stud recently shone in the final of the World Championships for young dressage horses with Stefanie Wolf. Dam Diamond Girl was herself Intermediaire I successful and shone at the CHIO Aachen with Nadine Capellmann and is the sister of the licensed Ra by Rohdiamant/Intermediaire I successful with Holga Finken. The stallion prospect was sold to a long-time regular customer in Canada.
Charity foal Kingston-Royal by Karl-Royal bred by Klaus Niedergassel, Gütersloh was sold at the foal auction as a charity shetland pony for 13,500 Euros to Lower Saxony. The proceeds of this charity auction will be donated to the initiative "Riding against Hunger".
Three of the ten foals on offer went to Belgium (1), Canada (1) and Spain (1). A turnover of 327,000 Euros was realised at the foal auction.
