Auction star wows in Wellington

Week eight of the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington was a great success for the Oldenburg show jumpers. The former auction horse Curo led the honor round in a 1.45 m show jumping test under his seventeen-year-old rider Lucy Deslauriers.

Casiamo, born 2008, by Casiro I out of Candida by Corghano, bred by Reinhard Häusler, Seesen, Germany, and owned by Alexander Llc, USA, and Julie Welles won a 1.45 m show jumping test.

Chaco, OS, born 2007, by Chacco-Blue out of Lolande by Colander - Landadel, bred by Gestüt Lewitz, Germany, and owned by Maidensway, USA, and Rodrigo Pessoa from Brazil placed fourth and eights in 1.40 m show jumping tests. Granddam London gave birth to the international Grand Prix horses Centadel by Cento under Bastian Freese and Florian Meyer zu Hartum as well as Quilando by Quintender with Chantal Regter from the Netherlands.

Curo, OS, born 2009, by Cornado I out of Padelli by Padarco, bred by Sigrid Crome-Sperling, Lutter, Germany, and owned by Mario Deslauriers, USA, won gold in a 1.45 m show jumping test under Lucy Deslauriers. The premium stallion of the OS licensing 2011 shined at the Fall Elite Auction 2013 in Vechta. His dam Padelli was successful in medium show jumping classes under Katharina Oestreich.

Donald, born 2009, by Diarado out of Fleur by Furioso II, bred by Rainer Dünnebier, Bergen, Germany, and owned by Live Oak Plantation Llc, USA, took fourth place in the opening class and eights place in a 1.45 m show jumping test under Chloe Reid.

Ludovica S, OS, born 2011, by Ludwigs As out of Checkiolina by Couleur-Rubin, bred by Joachim Schmaering, Petershagen, Germany, and owned by Claudia Villamil, Puerto Rico, won silver in a show jumping test for six-year-old show jumpers under her rider Francisco Zamudio from Argentina. Dam Checkiolina also gave birth to the licensed stallion Samurai Fi by Semper Fi.

Lumiere, born 2004, by Clay out of Feodora by For Pleasure - Sandro, bred by Brigitte Zilling, Glandorf, Germany, and owned by Peacook Ridge Llc, USA, and Yasmin Rizvi took bronze in a 1.45 m show jumping test. Dam Feodora also gave birth to Clay’s Fortuno by Clay, successful in advanced level show jumping tests under Victoria Colvin.

Quincy, born 2007, by Quidam de Revel out of Siona by Zeus, bred by Christina Schneider, Gemünden Herbelhausen, Germany, and owned by Kessler Show Stables Llc, USA, and Teri Kessler won silver in a 1.40 m show jumping test. Dam Siona also gave birth to the advanced level show jumpers For Luc by For Pleasure under Marion Feld and Anjessa by Araconit under Jörg Möller and Katharina Mahnel.

Toulago, OS, born 2005, by Toulon out of Grand Clou by Carthago Z, bred by Gestüt Lewitz, Germany, and owned by Starlight Farm 1 Llc, USA, placed sixth under Adrienne Sternlicht in a 1.50 show jumping test. Dam Grand Clou also gave birth to the licensed stallion Quino du Ry by Quidam de Revel. Toulagos dam line is also the origin of Markus Merschformanns international advanced level show jumper Baloupetra by Baloubet du Rouet and her sons Carinou by Carinue under Philipp Weishaupt and Ludger Beerbaum, Tailormade Chaloubet by Chacco-Blue with Sören Pedersen in the saddle and Comanche by Coupe de Coeur under Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, all successful in advanced level show jumping classes.
