One could casually call the Chacco Blue son a “ribbon pony”, because Chacco Kid and Lamaze hardly finish a com- petition without a placement and that at five-star level and so the now 15-year-old was also the horse of choice for the World Equestrian Games inTryon. Kaytlyn Brown is the groom at Eric Lamaze’s stable and looks after Chacco Kid, so knows him inside out: “He really is the sweetest of them all. I have never met a horse that is so devoted to people. He always wants attention and he always has something in his mouth,” she laughs. “When Eric is around, he gets anxious because he knows it’s about to start, he’s very motivated.” C hacco Kid, OS, geb. 2006, v. Man könnte den Chacco-Blue-Sohn salopp als „Schleifenpony” betiteln, denn kaum eine Prüfung beenden Chacco Kid und Lamaze ohne Plat- zierung und das auf Fünf-Sterne-Niveau. So war der inzwischen 15-Jährige auch das Pferd der Wahl für dieWeltreiterspiele inTry- on. Kaytlyn Brown ist die Pflegerin im Stall von Eric Lamaze und betreut Chacco Kid, kennt ihn also in- und auswendig: „Er ist wirk- lich der süßeste von allen. Ich habe noch nie ein Pferd getroffen, das den Menschen so zugetan ist. Er will immer Aufmerksamkeit und er hat immer etwas im Maul“, lacht sie. „Wenn Eric in der Nähe ist, wird er unruhig, weil er weiß, dass es gleich los geht, er ist sehr motiviert.“ Photo: Bronkhorst
