For example, they contrib- uted significantly to the silver medal in the Nations’ Cup at the CHIO Aachen. His rider is convinced: “Calisto Blue is an unusual horse in many respects. Anyone who sees him jump at home would never believe what he is capable of. Even on the warm-up course it often still doesn’t look convincing, but in the course he is an unlikely fighter. It’s almost like riding two different horses. He is special in many ways, he has a rather small and practical canter, but it allows me to divide each distance the way I think is best. His technique at the jump is also peculiar, but he just knows how to handle it. At home he often jumps much too fast and too far forward, but at the show he often scores clear rounds in the course. Wer ihn zu Hause springen sieht, würde niemals glauben, was er zu leisten be- reit ist. Selbst auf demAbreiteplatz sieht das oft noch nicht überzeu- gend aus, aber im Parcours ist er ein unwahrscheinlicher Kämpfer. Es ist fast, als würde ich zwei verschiedene Pferde reiten. Er ist in vielen Dingen speziell, er hat eine eher kleine und praktische Galop- pade, die es mir aber ermöglicht, jede Distanz so einzuteilen, wie ich es für am besten halte. Auch seineTechnik am Sprung ist eigen, aber er weiß einfach damit umzugehen.
