At the U.S. Festival of Champions in Chicago, Oldenburg horses and riders celebrated outstanding victories and placements across all age categories.
Aqua Marin, born 2011, by Ampere out of El./St.Pr.St. Stedinger Heide by Stedinger, breeder: Gerd Sosath, Lemwerder, owners: Alicia & Marianne Berger, USA, delivered a strong performance under Alicia Berger, placing fifth in the Intermediaire II and sixth in the U25 Grand Prix. Aqua Marin was licensed in 2013, as was his half-brother by Quaterback. Their dam, El./St.Pr.St. Stedinger Heide, also produced the Elite Mare Quadriga (by Quaterback) as well as the State Premium Mare Borowski's Heide (by Borowski).
Backstage Beaudi, born 2016, by Borsalino out of El.St. Wega Weissera by De Niro, breeder: Pure Equestrian Vof, USA, owner: Stony Hill Stables, achieved an excellent fourth place in the Prix St. Georges under Elizabeth Hotchkiss. Dam El.St. Wega Weissera has also produced the highly successful Flirt d’Amour and Farewell Fritz (both by Fidertanz).
Bon Amie, born 2016, by Bon Coeur out of St.Pr.St. J’adore by Jazz, breeder: Berthold Schoemaker, Emlichheim, owner: Kat Fuqua, USA, impressed with Kat Fuqua, taking fourth place in the Young Riders Individual Competition. Her dam, J’adore, is also the dam of the Oldenburg Main Premium Mare Filomena (by For Romance I).
Feinstar, born 2019, by Blue Hors Farrell out of Gina-Goldina by Bon’a Parte, breeder: Lars Wenke, Varel, owner: Elizabeth Bortuzzo, USA, and Elizabeth Bortuzzo placed sixth in the Final for Six-Year-Old Dressage Horses. Feinstar was licensed in Vechta in 2021.
Fiorenza, born 2017, by El.H. Fürstenball OLD out of Darline by Dalhems Diomedes, breeder: Margret Müller, Neubörger, owner: Brittany Burson, USA, danced her way to a bronze medal in the Prix St. Georges under Brittany Burson. Her granddam, El./St.Pr.St. Jeversche Perle, was a finalist at the Federal Mare Show in Warendorf and also produced the Elite Mare Jeversche Larina (by Don Larino).
MSJ For VIPs, born 2017, by El.H. Foundation out of El./St.Pr.St. Mount St John VIP by Vivaldi, breeder: Mount St John Equestrian LLP, Emma Blundell, UK, owner: Lauren Fisher, USA, earned two silver medals in the Prix St. Georges with Rebecca Rigdon. The dam, Mount St John VIP, also produced the Oldenburg Main Premium Candidate Emma K (by Escolar).
Fürst Felix N, born 2017, by El.H. Fürstenball OLD out of Dynamica by Donnerschlag, breeder & owner: Christiane Nölting, USA, and Lilian Ramirez claimed bronze in the Children’s Team Test and secured fourth place in the Children’s Individual Competition.
Galaxena, born 2021, by Galaxy out of Vb.Pr.St. Floreida by Florenz, breeder: Siegfried Rempe, Garrel, owner: Lindsey Holleger, USA, shined under Michelle Davis, taking silver in a Four-Year-Old Dressage Test and sixth place in the Final.
Gremlin (b. 2015, by Grey Flanell out of El./St.Pr.St. Daytona by Donnerschwee, breeder: Andrea Gräfin von Merveldt, Vechta, owner: Bille Davidson, USA) led the victory lap twice with Quinn Iverson, winning an Intermediaire II and a Developing Grand Prix. Dam El./St.Pr.St. Daytona is also the dam of licensed stallion Füchtels Exupéry (by Escamillo), the successful Grand Prix horse Füchtels To Limit OLD (by Top Gear), and the Elite and State Premium Mare Dolivia (by Fürst Romancier).
Grey C Carrus, born 2014, by Grey Flanell out of Urone by Krack C, breeders: Helena & Jukka MTY Niiranen, Finland, owner: Four Winds Farm, and Miki Yang piaffed to sixth place in the Grand Prix Freestyle as part of the Brentina Cup.
Hibernia (b. 2020, by Harvest out of Roanne TWF by Rosenthal, breeder: Kendra Hansis, USA, owner: Allison Nemeth, USA) secured fifth place under Allison Nemeth in the Final for Five-Year-Old Dressage Horses.
MW Mastermind, born 2019, by Morricone out of El.St. MW Weiss Schwarz by Sir Donnerhall, breeder & owner: Jennifer Vanover, USA, impressed with Charell Garcia, earning silver in the Preliminary Test and fourth place in the Final for Six-Year-Old Dressage Horses. Dam MW Weiss Schwarz has also produced the U.S. “Special Premium Mare” Weissgold MW(by Grey Flanell).
MW Mercury, born 2018, by Morricone out of El.St. MW Weiss Schwarz by Sir Donnerhall, breeder & owner: Jennifer Vanover, USA, and Charell Garcia finished sixth in both the Preliminary Test and the Final for Seven-Year-Old Dressage Horses.
Quantaris, born 2010, by Quarterline out of Super Susi by Sir Donnerhall, breeder: Christoph Stümpel, Beesten, owner: Oded Shimoni, earned silver with Caroline Garren in both the U25 Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle, as well as bronze in the Intermediaire II. Dam Super Susi also produced the Verband Premium Mares Bella Belstaff (by Belstaff) and Rolexa (by Rock Forever I).
Quaresma, born 2016, by Quantensprung out of Gala by El.H. Fürstenball OLD, breeder: Wilfried Schlotmann, Bakum, owner: Gina Fisk, USA, impressed with Eila Fisk, securing silver in both the Junior Team Test and the Junior Individual Competition. Her full sister, Galas First, was awarded the Verband Premium title.
Roberto de Fontaine, born 2018, by Valverde NRW out of L'Actrice VDL by Don Tango B, breeder: Chateau de Fontaine, France, owner: Enter At A LLC, USA, and Andrea Woodard achieved a strong fourth place in the Final for Seven-Year-Old Dressage Horses.
MW Royalty, born 2021, by Viva Gold OLD out of EM Rheporter by Royal Prince, breeder & owner: Jennifer Vanover, USA, secured fourth place in the Final for Four-Year-Old Dressage Horses under Charell Garcia and took fifth in the Preliminary Test. Dam EM Rheporter is also the dam of licensed stallion Shavane (by Shakespeare RSF) and three “Special Premium Mares.”
Rubinette N, born 2011, by Rubino Bellissimo out of Piccolena by Panache, breeder: Christiane Nölting, USA, owner: Gwenyth Miller, USA, earned silver with Gwenyth Miller in both the Children’s Team Test and the Children’s Individual Competition.
Silhouette, born 2014, by Sir Gregory out of Brauna by Chico’s Boy, breeder: Teresa Tovrea, USA, owner: Jonni Allen, USA, and Averi Allen celebrated victory in the Young Riders Team Test and took fifth place in the Young Riders Individual Competition.
Toronto Lightfoot, born 2013, by El.H. Totilas out of Okima Lightfoot by Onassis, breeders: Annette Lyngs & Torben Damsbo / Stutteri Lightfoot, owner: Scott Durkin, USA, secured silver under Meagan Davis in the Grand Prix, Grand Prix Special, and Grand Prix Freestyle.
MW Verrazzano, born 2021, by Viva Gold OLD out of MW Weiss Schwarz by Sir Donnerhall, breeder & owner: Jennifer Vanover, USA, triumphed with Charell Garcia, winning both a Four-Year-Old Dressage Test and the Final.
Vholt, born 2018, by El.H. Vitalis out of Rhiddle by Glock’s Romanov, breeder: Maurine Swanson, USA, owner: Kathryn Fleming-Kuhn, USA, and Kathryn Fleming-Kuhn took silver in the Preliminary Test for Seven-Year-Old Dressage Horses. Dam Rhiddle has been awarded the title of “Special Premium Mare.”
Vincent, born 2017, by Vivaldi out of El./St.Pr.St. Poetin VI by Sandro Hit, breeder: Klaus Tuchen, Grabow, owners: Elizabeth Bortuzzo & Mark Paul, USA, celebrated silver in the Prix St. Georges and bronze in the Intermediaire I with Elizabeth Bortuzzo. Dam Poetin VI also produced the successful S-level competitor Fritz (by Finest).
MW Virtuous, born 2020, by Valverde NRW out of EM Rheporter by Royal Prince, breeder & owner: Jennifer Vanover, USA, secured victory with Charell Garcia in the Final for Five-Year-Old Dressage Horses and placed third in the Preliminary Test.
Vital Hit Caledonia OLD, born 2019, by El.H. Vitalis out of El./Vb.Pr.St. Loretta Live by Royal Dance, breeder: Reay Campbell, UK, owner: Elizabeth Bortuzzo, USA, and Elizabeth Bortuzzo earned bronze in the Final for Six-Year-Old Dressage Horses and fourth place in the Preliminary Test. His full sister Lorna received the Oldenburg Main Premium, and his brother Super Mario (by For Compliment) has achieved Grand Prix success under Alexander Yde Helgstrand.
A delegation of the Oldenburg Horse Breeders’ Association is currently on an Inspection Tour in North America and is directly available to breeders and riders.
