720,000 Euros for Champion Stallion

Premium stallions in demand: The brilliant stallion market of the Verband der Züchter des Oldenburger Pferdes concluded with a magnificent result. The celebrated OL Champion Stallion moved to Sweden for a top price. Seven stallions cost 100,000 Euros and more. Customers from Sweden purchased a total of five Oldenburg stallions.

The OL Champion Stallion by Von und Zu out of Delailah by Dancier - St. Moritz - Rotspon, bred by Monika Rösemeier-Harms, Großefehn, and exhibited by Ursula Berger, Munich, was sold to the renowned stallion station Lövsta Stutteri from Sweden for 720,000 Euros. 

The Reserve Champion Stallion by Escolar out of Eve by Fürst Heinrich - Figaro - Harlekin, bred by Maria-Antonia Burczyk, Lienen, exhibited by Maurice Tebbel, Emsbüren, was knocked down for 400,000 Euros to an ambitious entrepreneur from Poland who has recently invested in dressage sport.

The son of Global Player out of Amelie by Fürstenball - Sandro Hit - Plaisir d'Amour, bred and owned by Britta Budeus-Wiegert from Groß Nemerow, was knocked down to Paul Schockemöhle and Andreas Helgstrand for 170,000 Euros.

Auctioneer Thorsten Castle knocked down the son of Viva Gold out of Weihtastic by Totilas - De Niro - Fürst Heinrich, bred by Christine Arns-Krogmann, Lohne, exhibited by BG Arns-Krogmann/Kandziora, Lohne, to customers from southern Germany for 157,000 Euros.

The stallions by Dynamic Dream out of Barbados by Bordeaux - Fürst Piccolo - Wolkenstein II, bred by Arndt Schwierking from Barver and exhibited by BG Schwierking/Waering, Barver, and by Desperado out of Meggie May by El Capone - Rousseau - Jazz, bred and exhibited by Van Bockxgrave Horses B.V., Netherlands, each cost 120,000 Euros. The latter is being stabled at the Dressurpferde Leistungszentrum Lodbergen.

The German state studs also found what they were looking for: Celle State Stud and Neustadt (Dosse) State Stud jointly purchased the licensed son of Le Formidable out of First Affair by Ampère - Weltruhm - Latimer/Trak., bred by Christine Arns-Krogmann, Lohne, and exhibited by Klausing GbR, Diepholz, for 62,000 Euros.

Almost a third, six out of 20 dressage stallions from the Verband der Züchter des Oldenburger Pferdes (OL), will be pleasing Oldenburg friends abroad in the future. Specifically, the stallions will move into their boxes in Sweden (5) and Poland (1).

The OL Verband's dressage stallions sold for a total of 2,201,000 Euros. Bidders had to invest an average of around 150,000 Euros for a licensed stallion. The unlicensed stallions cost an average of around 18,000 Euros.
