International price peaks

The price highlight of the Oldenburg Stallion Market was the Reserve Champion Stallion of the Verband der Züchter des Oldenburger Pferdes (OL), a son by For Dance out of Gwendolina by Zack - Diamond Hit - Rubinstein I, bred by Jörg Bös, Nordhorn, and exhibited by the dressage stable Sandbrink GmbH, Meinersen, both from Lower Saxony. The strong-moving son of For Dance was sold for 281,000 Euros to a renowned stallion station in the Netherlands. From the dam line comes the Grand Prix winner Doktor by Diamond Hit under the US-American Shelly Francis.

Second top priced stallion was a son of Vivaldi out of Synphonie D by De Niro - Sandro Hit - Rubinstein I, bred by Alfons Kramer, Damme, and exhibited by Sylvia & Wilhelm Klausing GbR & Gut Rethorn, Diepholz, also both from Lower Saxony. The liver chestnut moved to Austria for 180,000 Euro. His dam is the sister of three licensed stallions. The renowned sire Freiherr by Furioso II comes from this family.

The Oldenburg jumping stallions also set standards worldwide: The Reserve Champion of the jumping stallions by Comilfo Plus Z out of Cinderella's Girl by Clinton - Cassini I - Cicero, bred by Josef Hüpen from Straelen, North Rhine-Westphalia, and exhibited by Karen Schüssler from Bad Doberan, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, shone for 140,000 Euros. In the future, the gray stallion will move to Judy-Ann Melchior, Zangersheide Stud, Belgium. The Comilfo Plus Z son comes from the mare line 1228. The sire, Comilfo Plus Z, was twice in the Final of the World Championships for young show jumpers under Christian Ahlmann and placed internationally in 1.55 m show jumping competitions. From this dam line come the 1.60 m successful Chardonnay by Clarimo under the Austrian Max Kühner and AD Crosshill by Calido I with the Greek Athina Onassis.

Three out of ten dressage stallions of the Verband der Züchter des Oldenburger Pferdes (OL) will find a new home in foreign countries in Europe in the future. At the Springpferdezuchtverband Oldenburg-International (OS), eight of 19 stallions for sale moved to Oldenburg friends abroad. In detail, the stallions will move to their stables in the Netherlands (3), Great Britain (2), Austria (2), Belgium (1), Ireland (1), Sweden (1) and Hungary (1).

The OL stallions achieved a total turnover of 786,500 Euros. The average price of the licensed stallions settled at 97,000 Euros. The jumping stallions of the OS Verband achieved a total turnover of 902,500 Euros. For a licensed stallion, bidders had to invest an average of about 65,000 Euro.
