Premium Foals and Elite Foals

The foal season with the Oldenburg registration events is in full swing. For a long time, the breeders have been waiting to introduce their foal to the Oldenburg Evaluation Committee. The goal of all breeders is an award. Oldenburg distinguishes between Premium Foals and the title Elite Foals.

Premium Foals
Foals, who receive the Oldenburg Foal Premium award on a registration event, meet the Oldenburg breeding goal in terms of type, conformation and movement.

Elite Foals
Foals, which are even higher in their overall quality than Premium Foals, are awarded as Elite Foals. Elite Foals fulfil the requirements for the expected suitability as an Oldenburg breeding and sport horse in particular. In addition, they convince by their type, a very harmonious body composition, the correctness of their conformation and a higher than average movement potential. Besides, Elite Foals are characterized by a proven pedigree in breeding and sport.
